Family Fun Fest!
Tuesday, August 25th – 3P to 9P – Christopher Farm & Gardens!
3:00P - Gates Open: Please park in the Orchard Parking Field! Directions: From Lakeshore Road, go east on Garton Road for about ½-mile and follow the turn as it heads south. Enter the Orchard Parking Field located near the end of the cul de sac on the west side of Garton Road. Entrance to the CF&G is located on the SW corner of this parking field (CLICK "VIEW PDF" below to see map)..
3:00P to 9:00P - "Wander the Wonderful Gardens": Grab a map and feel free to “wander” and explore on your own!
3:00P to 5:30P – Fishing on the Farmhouse Pond! All equipment provided and assistance available for this catch and release opportunity! This was an incredibly popular activity last year for kids and adults! The pond is well stocked… so no one will be disappointed.
3:30P to 4:30P – Birds & Bees with Robyn: Join Robyn - CF&G Director of Education and Visitor Experience, Bird Enthusiast, and Beekeeper and learn about the Birds & the Bees! This is a great experience for the young kids as it includes a visit to the Children’s Education Farm and a chance to meet “Chicken Nugget” and “Pee the Bunny”, a visit to the “Bee Hut”, as well as information about Project Tweety B.I.R.D.!
4:00P to 5:30P – Carnival Games in the Landscape Barn: Enjoy a few of our favorite carnival games from previous NCSD events! Games are open to kids of all ages!
5:30P – “Dairyland Express” Train Ride: We will recognize all attending cancer survivors by dedicating the first ride on the “Dairyland Express” for SURVIVORS ONLY! After that, ALL KIDS – young and old, big and small – can enjoy this amusement park train ride!

5:45P – “Hope Grows Here” Secret Garden New Installations (meet at the Train Station): Following the “Dairyland Express” Train Ride, anyone interested will meet at the Train Station and take the short walk to the “Hope Grows Here” Secret Garden to view several new installations.
600P – Last Chance at the Carnival Games: Enjoy a few of our favorite carnival games from previous NCSD events! Games are open to kids of all ages with a special prize for the little ones and their families!
630P to 9P – Bonding Bonfire: Join us at the Council Ring firepit for a “Bonding Bonfire” with fixings for Hot Dogs & S’mores! Water and other snacks will be available. Feel free to BYO or a bring a dish to pass.
