The CF&G has been referred to as a “Haven for area cancer patients/survivors!” It truly is!
Through many year-round activities, participants are able to connect with nature and connect with one another in our Local Cancer Community!
Events and activities include: ST&BF at the CF&G ("Wander the Wonderful Gardens" with "Bonding Bonfires" and other activities), Annual Earth Day Restoration Project, "Hope Grows Here" Project, Project Tweety B.I.R.D. Bluebird Trail, National Cancer Survivors Day Celebration - Nature's Healing Ways, Family Fun Fest, Transportation Museum Visit, and more!
The best way to ensure you don’t miss out on any upcoming scheduled events (or POP UP-portunities) is to scroll down to the bottom of the LCCU, click on “update subscription preferences” and be sure you are signed up for “ST&BF at the Christopher Farm & Gardens” to receive any updates and info on POP UP-portunities!
2026 SCCCF National Cancer Survivors Day Event at the Christopher Farm & Gardens - Sunday, June 7th!

For the fourth consecutive year Coping Magazine has highlighted the 2025 SCCCF National Cancer Survivors Day Event at the Christopher Farm & Gardens (including a cover photo in 2023)!

ST&BF at the Christopher Farm & Gardens “Hope Grows Here” Project Update!
The “Hope Grows Here” Project has grown from a seed planted by cancer survivor Kirstin Opgenorth who spoke at the 2025 SCCCF National Cancer Survivor’s Day. The wonderful folks at the Christopher Farm & Gardens have since provided nutrient-rich soil along with lots of sunlight and water as this tiny seed is beginning to take root and grow into a special “Secret Garden” that will grow hope and healing for area cancer patients/survivors!
We need more hands to nurture and tend to the growth of the “Hope Grows Here” Project.
Watch this Local Cancer Community Update for details or contact Tim to get involved as we will be involved in various aspects of the project!
