This most recent visit offered participants the opportunity to simply “Wander the Wonderful Gardens” to experience the healing benefits of this beautiful outdoor space and an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful fall colors!
This Halloween-themed visit also included several fun “Halloween Fun Fest Carnival Games” provided cancer patients/survivors and caregivers!
Photos (see attached PDF): "Bob the Builder” Hartig created this great “PLINKO” carnival game, specifically designed with SCCCF’s “Beacon of Hope” mascot! Bob has donated his Plinko game back... so next time you are at the clinic... give it a try to win a piece of candy!
Photo (see attached PDF): Fellow survivors Sue Zalewski challenges a blindfolded Candy Meyer to “Pin the Tail on the Jack-o-Lantern.”
I received an e-mail from Candy the day after our outing that read: “It was a wonderful time, the games were awesome and the gardens are great whatever time of year. Can't wait to see all the new flowers that were being planted. Thank you Christopher Farm & Gardens.”
Photo (see attached PDF): Kathy Burch challenges a couple of participants with a candy pumpkin toss using skeleton hands!
Photo (see attached PDF): Mary Schueller challenged participants with a Halloween Word Scramble!
Barb & Lenny Bogenschutz provided a fun “Ghoul Guessing Game”! Each participant had a sign with a ghoulish title placed on their back and they were challenged to figure out what it said based on the comments and clues provided by others!
Photo (see attached PDF): I’m not sure if Lorry (a.k.a., “Superman” and an “Axe Murdere”) has figured out her split personality just yet... or if the others know how well they are being protected or how much danger they may be in!?! 😊
Photos (see attached PDF): Due to windy conditions, we moved “Bob the Builders” rubber-band shooting gun gallery indoors!
Photo (see attached PDF): After folks "Wandered the Wonderful Gardens" and enjoyed some carnival games... it was time for some Hot Dogs, S'mores, and good conversation!
