Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund’s “Survive, Thrive & Be Fit” program hosts the evidence-based exercise class, Energizing Flex & Flow, specifically designed to reduce cancer-related fatigue. The class was created using a large pool of research to find the most effective duration, intensity, and type of exercise to target cancer-related fatigue. The class was created by Hannah Held, a Doctoral Occupational Therapy student with in-depth knowledge of physical activity for cancer survivors to ensure safety and comfort. Energizing Flex & Flow is offered to any cancer survivor in Sheboygan County, in active treatment, or years beyond treatment. Enliven your energy and improve your quality of life by combining aerobic and resistance exercises with relaxation and socialization. No equipment is required for the class. During your first session, you will be supplied with a resistance band for the resistance portion of the class. The aerobic portion of the class involves body movement and does not require equipment.
