SCCCF Provides Financial “Gestures” (Assistance) to Area Cancer Patients/Survivors In Need!

December 19, 2022

The primary mission of SCCCF is to provide financial assistance to area cancer patients/survivors in need. In addition to assisting with the high cost of cancer treatment-related medications, SCCCF often provides financial assistance for daily living expenses to assist those who may be facing large medical bills.

SCCCF surely cannot address all of the financial needs of area cancer patients and survivors. However, as these recent notes from some of our “gesture” recipients express, often times little “gestures” can make a big difference:

“I wish to thank you so very much for the generous check I received to help with my oral chemotherapy medication. I am truly blessed and you are all very special people. I am a stage IV ovarian cancer survivor, and know you are helping so many people. I will be signing up for the newsletter and hope to be more involved in the future. We have donated in the past and did not realize we would be blessed by this wonderful organization. Please know we are very grateful and appreciate your help. Thank you very much.”

“I want to thank you for considering and granting my request for assistance. It was a great relief when I received the check as I have not been working during my surgery and treatments. I was very humbled and inspired! When I return to work, I will pay back your generosity by donating to help others.”

“Thank you for the generous gestures of helping me out with rent and a gas card. These things have helped me out tremendously by reducing my stress level which helped my pain level while going through chemotherapy. I can’t thank you enough.”

“Thank you for the gas card I received from the SCCCF. It is greatly appreciated. It gives me a warm feeling to realize that people I don’t even know actually care about what I’m dealing with.”
