Survivor-Athlete Spotlight: John Seaman

Survivor-Athlete Spotlight: John Seaman

John is one of our current SCCCF Survive, Thrive & BE Fit Indoor Row Group survivor-athletes. Although, technically, John is still in his rookie year of IRG, he is our most experienced rower! Earlier this year, when he first joined IRG, I shared these links to a couple Outdoor Wisconsin segments that featured John’s past experience and success in competitively rowing Adirondack guide boats:

Obviously, he has taken to the Indoor Row Group “like a rowboat takes to water”! Recently, he was featured in the Sheboygan County YMCA’s 2020 Winter/Spring Program (click on below PDF)!

Correction to the YMCA piece: The program is called “Survive, Thrive & Be Fit” (not “Thrive, Strive & Be Fit”) and is a service offered through the Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund (not Matthews Oncology – although IRG sessions do take place at Matthews Oncology Associates / Sheboygan Cancer & Blood Specialists).

To learn more about all that the Sheboygan YMCA has to offer the community, including opportunities specific for area cancer patients and survivors (such as “The Cancer Crusade” and the “LIVESTRONG at the Y” program listed on page 2), follow this link:
